From Takayama to Kamikochi for example, there are two options.

1. By hired taxi: Hiring a taxi for a day may cost over 100,000 JPY. It is flexible but expensive.
2. By public bus: Round-trip bus fare is about 12,000 JPY per person. In addition, you have to pay the bus fare for the guide.

The guide fee is 40,000-50,000 JPY. It depends on where the guide is from.
